Medical Student Advisors (MSA) was started by 2 friends who were students at a medical school in the Dominican Republic. One friend left to pursue his medical career and the other continued his adventures in the business world.

Services were first offered to South African students in 2001. In South Africa there was and still is a greater number of students wanting to study medicine than there are available seats at South African medical universities. Getting a place in a South African medical school required outstanding academic results which made the prospects bleak for enthusiastic applicants.

It was soon discovered that this was also the situation not just in South Africa, but many other countries. Soon clients were arriving from all over the world, looking for affordable, accredited and accessible opportunities to study medicine.

MSA was named and legally established in 2002 and started as a one person company that operated from a home office on a part time basis, assisting South African students with the application process to a Romanian Medical School. Every year saw exponential growth. MSA now belongs to the Khanyi Media group of business (ad)ventures and has grown into a small team of talented and dedicated individuals who work from Argentina, South Africa and Romania.

MSA now has registered candidates from all continents and have expanded their application administration and placement service to provide opportunities in more medical universities.
